Escape the Everyday in 2021

Escape the Everyday in 2021 Published Tuesday 12th of January 2021

In our updated post we are optimistic for 2021 holidays, but recommend you delay any booking until mid-February with an eye on the possibility of holidays being possible again from mid-March 2021 ...

The situation

Right now, the COVID statistics are frightening and the case numbers are forecast to worsen before they are brought under control.

With these uncertainties our Government will need to see reduction in the number of cases from both the lockdown and the roll-out of vaccine, before the general economy and tourism re-opens.

If the lockdown works and if the target to vaccinate the early priority groups is met, we will know, perhaps by mid-February, of the timetable to unlock and ease restrictions.

The lockdown legislation is intended to allow a steady, controlled, evidence-led move down back through the Tiers on a regional basis.  Two weekly reviews will consider the restrictions and, if they are considered no longer necessary, there will be a gradual unlocking using the Tier system.  So, freedom of movement to take a holiday, visit a holiday home etc. will return.

At Harford Bridge Park we are working during lockdown to be ready for holidays from mid-March 2021 with refreshed self-catering accommodation and a pristine campsite - just as we were in July 2020 when the first lockdown ended, and we were able to welcome holiday makers again to our award-winning park.

For 2021 our new ‘Prestige’ self-catering caravans and re-branded glamping ‘Escape Pods’ will be ready, and our new amenity building will be in place with table top games, TV and information room with digital information.  Free Wi-Fi will also be available across the whole park.

Staying Safe in 2021

To make sure our park is a safe place, we’ll continue with all the COVID-19 safety measures that we put in place in 2020. These include extra cleaning of the toilets and amenities as well as Visit England’s ‘Good to Go’ & AA ‘Covid Secure’ quality standard certification for our shared facilities.

Booking a holiday with us

Under the latest lockdown we have been shut down again and have refunded all self-catering bookings up until mid-March 2021.

In the light of the evolving situation, we have updated our Terms & Conditions and are maintaining our booking pledge that guarantees to allow for postponements or full refunds if a holiday can’t go ahead.

West Devon is at present one of the areas in England with very low rates of virus transmission and there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel.

So, we are optimistic for 2021 holidays, but recommend you delay any booking until mid-February with an eye on the possibility of holidays being possible again from mid-March 2021.

We have pledged to keep the park Covid Secure when we are permitted to open, and we are taking bookings with a small deposit for self-catering holidays starting from Saturday 13th March 2021 and from Monday 15th March 2021 for our camping & touring pitches.

If you are thinking of booking check out our Terms & Conditions which are accessible on our website at this Link and in the footer of our website pages.

To keep our team members safe and comply with the lockdown our telephones will be answered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon. If our phone (t: 01822 810349) is not answered, leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can.

Emails should be sent to [email protected]. On-line bookings are possible at any time through this link.
