6 July: Tavistock Edge Festival

Free arts and performance event; includes drama, dance, music and song, mostly in the open air.

19 – 20 July: Chagstock Music Festival, Chagford Dartmoor

If festivals are your thing then Chagstock ticks a lot on the list as well as being set in a beautiful scenic location in the heart of Dartmoor. Really, you’ll be camping on the festival site for the event, but why not chill down at Harford before / after the event? www.chagstock.info

19 – 21 July: Summer Fair, Butchers Hall, Tavistock

Family fun community day out in the heart of Tavistock. Live music, Morris dancing, workshops, children's entertainment, bar, refreshments, fun dog show and over 30 gift and artisan stalls. Free entry

20 July: Ecofest, Tavistock Meadows 11am – 4pm 

Ecofest is a free festival held on Tavistock Carnival day. There will be many activities and stalls, including eco-friendly and upcycling stall, talks and poetry, arts and crafts, live music, locally produced food, forest school, swap & share, a local author, Heartbeeps for babies, and much more. Be an eco-explorer and meet other members of the local community supporting and celebrating sustainability. 14 & 21 July: St Luke’s Hospice 2019 Open Gardens, features beautiful gardens across Devon & Cornwall. In its tenth year with a diverse selection of beautiful gardens selected to inspire and delight. Many are not normally open to the public. For garden lovers this is an enjoyable and inspiring way to raise vital funds for hospice care, most open gardens offer refreshments and plant sales and free entry for all children under 16.

27 - 28 July: Calstock Steamboat rally & Heritage weekend

2019’s rally aims to build on the success of the first held in 2018.

Launching from the riverside village of Calstock, in Cornwall, explore the unspoilt River Tamar. Around 10 steamboats are attending.  The Heritage Weekend coincides with the steamboat rally to include a Sea Shanty Festival, Morris Dancing, Classic Boats, Classic Cars, an archaeological exhibition, and probably a steam traction engine or two. https://www.sandhillhousecornwall.co.uk/event/calstock-steamboat-rally-26-28-july-2019/

27 July: Dartmoor National Park Summer Fair at Princetown Visitor Centre 10.00 to 16.00
