Holiday making starts again at Harford 4th July 20

Holiday making starts again at Harford 4th July 20 Published Tuesday 30th of June 2020

Good news today!  We will be making Sustainable Memorable Devon Holidays again from 4 July 2020 at Harford Bridge Park.  Our 8 June newsletter foretold this, though at the time there was uncertainty about whether we would be permitted to fully re-open next month.

From today’s Government announcement, we will be re-opening on 4 July for our holiday homeowners, self-catering accommodation and pitches for motorhomes, caravans. camper vans and tents.

We will be operating at around half capacity with many pitches being unused so we can maximise the social distance, maintain park tranquillity and not overload facilities.

We have submitted for the ‘AA Covid Confident’ certification and will also apply for ‘We’re Good To Go’ as our business operations have been re-configured and the necessary measures to adhere and comply are / will be in place on re-opening day.

Our shared facilities for toilets and washing will re-open under a strict cleaning regime, a limit on the number of users at one time, as well as measures to achieve the required social distance.

As these facilities will be a capacity pinch point, if you have on-board facilities, we recommend you arrive with them ready to use as there may be queues to use shared facilities at certain times.  We do have a free to use motorhome service point, grey water disposal points and a free chemical toilet disposal facility on park.

The only facility we are not committing to open yet are our showers which are to be risk assessed against the guidance we are yet to receive.  We will update on this as we move towards re-opening day. (Update as of 30 June :  We will be opening showers - a user controlled procedure will be in place to regulate social distance and the numbers in the building.  Signage will be present and advise.)

We have heard from camping guests who are going to buddy up with a friend who has a caravan or motorhome with on-board facilities.  If this will work for you why not as the social distancing rules now permit?

Whatever you decide to do, all guests will be welcomed on the basis that there is understanding and acceptance about what we can provide for you.  We will be asking everyone to respect the Government Guidelines on social distancing and the other new norms of behaviour required of us all under C-19 guidelines.

With Best Wishes

Paul, Lydia, Nigel & Team at Harford Bridge Park
