Holidays from April 2021Published Friday 12th of March 2021
Hooray! The schools went back on 8 March and the recovery road map is working. If all continues well enough, from 12 April, you’ll be able to join us for a stay at Harford Bridge Park. April is the perfect time to enjoy Devon with plenty of greenery, tranquillity, and often some lovely weather. So, there is a lot to look forward to with the opportunity to make memorable holidays at Harford Bridge Park.
We’re working now to be ready to re-open our self-catering accommodation and camping pitches to holidaymakers from Monday 12 April in ‘Step 2’, but you can book now and we’re accepting bookings from then right through to November. Camping and touring will close on 1 November 2021 and our other accommodation at the end of that month.
Initially, we’ll have to limit the number of tents on site as we’re not allowed to open our shared facilities until ‘Step 3’. We may have some facilities in our private washrooms for campers of one household but don’t yet know what is permitted but we’ll be able to provide hot water and the necessary emptying facilities at the least. Hopefully, we’ll get the green light to open our shared facilities from 17 May in ‘Step 3’ and guidance about what we can and can’t offer guests without their own facilities from April onwards will be posted as soon as we have it.
Whatever, we will be bringing all our facilities and amenities back into ‘COVID Secure’ / ‘Good-to-Go’ certified, ready for our 12 April opening and our team will be regularly workplace tested. Our seasonal wardens have re-joined the team and are in training and full-on preparation to open safe, clean, and legal.
What can you expect at Harford Bridge in 2021?
This year, all guests will have access to free Wi-Fi – which is ‘new’ for 2021, and as this year marks 36 years of our family business we’ve commissioned a commemorative ‘Harford Duck’ and have some other Harford merchandise to offer from April.
Over the winter, we’ve spruced up our ‘Standard’ and ‘Prestige’ holiday caravans. Now they all have a new terrace area, landscaping, patios and new picnic bench. We’ve also added some innovations to the ‘Prestige’, including our unique ‘Harford’ fire-pit BBQ + Grill, an extra TV and a few other nice to have holiday items.
A new larger amenity building with TV and tourism information room will be ready also with new indoor table-top games opening in May 21 in ‘Step 3’). John Follett’s Riverside Diner will be back with a new menu for the season on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
We’ll soon be updating our free mobile app with details of local events and attractions as every day we are hearing about the return of favourite annual events and new things that are going to happen in 2021.
In May, we’ll have some new holiday homes ready for sale and information about these is available now. We’ll also have some excellent used holiday homes for sale later in the year – just e-mail us to find out more.
Pre-unlocking booking deposits
We are honouring our pledge to refund all deposits for bookings that fall during the lockdown. If you made a 2021 pre-unlocking booking with us, please telephone for a refund or to re-book. We’ll need the card information or details of the payment method to process the refund. Please call us on 01822 810349.
We hope to see you soon
We can't wait to reopen our award-winning holiday park for memorable holidays. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
