Park description:

Our family owned award winning 5-star holiday park is 2 miles from Tavistock and located within Dartmoor National Park. The park has a riverside location within easy reach of the town’s shops, restaurants and pubs, yet also provides peace and tranquillity to those seeking relaxation. It’s a great location to holiday and to work. The park is an ideal base to relax and to enjoy the activities and sights of West Devon, Dartmoor and the Tamar Valley.

Job Vacancy: Park Wardens (closing date 14 Feb 20)

At Harford Bridge Park, we have an opportunity for a couple to join the working members of the family as Park Wardens for 2020 season (March – October).

We are offering a 34-week contract paying £8.75 per hour.

You will be living in tranquil surroundings, with on park amenities. This full-time position will include working during weekends and bank holidays (41.25 hours/ 5 days per week).

Main Purpose of Job

As Park Warden you will live and work on-site throughout the season assisting the Directors with the day-to-day running of the park.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Reception - provide a high level of customer service at all times. You will be answering telephone calls, responding to emails, taking bookings, dealing with enquires, greeting guests and dealing with their questions.

Administration – making bookings using computer software and carrying out basic administration tasks. Completing all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Shop - using till and card machine, cashing up, stocking shelves and stock control.

Pitching - assisting in the pitching of units and providing information to guests about on park facilities and local information.

Cleaning facilities - maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness inside and outside buildings, toilet and shower blocks.

Gardening & grounds maintenance – mowing grass and general gardening duties using tools and equipment we provide.

Training - Participate in appropriate training and development activities.

Comply with the company’s Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and HR policies and procedures in accordance with your responsibilities as an employee.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following:
A commitment to always provide high levels of customer service and have experience of working with customers and resolving customer issues.

A sustainable determination to achieve the highest standards.

A practical approach to undertaking minor groundwork and associated tasks. 

Good basic administration and numeracy skills.
Be computer literate, including competence using ‘MS Office’ computer software.

Experience of working as a team member.

Preparedness to work flexibly to accommodate seasonal surges.

The successful candidates will be required to live on-site in your own caravan or motorhome. A serviced pitch and access to on-site facilities is included in the contract of employment.
