Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 ...

Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 ... Published Saturday 5th of June 2021

Guests have been welcomed back to Harford Bridge Park since re-opening on 12 April in ‘Step 2’ and during ‘Step 3’ we’re offering more facilities in our personal wash rooms, showers & toilets, children’s play park, bike hub, park laundry and nearly all the other facilities expected of a ‘5-Pennant’ AA Caravan and Camping Park, including our new courtyard space with outdoor table tennis. Our latest AA Quality Grading Inspection earlier in May uprated the park to 88%, which we are really chuffed about!

To satisfy the safety requirements and be ‘Good to Go’ and ‘AA COVID Confident’ we've opened our personal shower rooms on a DIY sanitizing basis following the late May Bank Holiday.

The cubilce showers in our main toilet block remain closed for the time-being and are expected to re-open in 'Step 4'. Our Wardens are managing the toilets and showers to make sure they are regularly sanitized and that the maximum number of 6 / 2 family groups is maintained.

Obviously, we all need to be responsible and follow the rules including ‘Hands, Face, Space & Fresh Air’ but Dartmoor Holidays by the River Tavy are now possible again with free Wi-Fi available across the whole park to add to the experience in 2021.

We can’t open our new games and TV building safely until ‘Step 4’, but the well-spaced seating outside and table tennis table are in use and very close by is John’s Riverside Diner on park most Tuesdays, as well as every Friday & Saturday evening during the season. John has a new menu which is on our free downloadable mobile app. His food is made with fresh locally sourced meat and veg. John also caters for non-meat eaters. In our Park Shop we’ve added Dartmoor Ice Cream to our stock. It’s made at the Princetown ‘Ice Cream HQ’ and is an ideal dessert course – made with fresh Dartmoor milk and some other natural ingredients. Our favourite is Hokey Pokey Honeycomb – though all the flavours are delicious and creamy and can be enjoyed anytime.

Out and about in West Devon there is now more to see and do, so we have added more curated content to our free mobile app about this. Annual events are also returning to the calendar and we are regularly adding those we’ve heard about. Check out our Events Calendar on our App for the latest information on local days out, events, local services and more.

We have three new caravan holiday homes for sale this year. A new ABI ‘Beverley’ is now sited with a stunning decking and skirting pack and ready now for all season holiday use. Arriving in June is a super attractive Victory ‘Lakewood’ holiday lodge also for year-round holidays and in September a lovely Delta ‘Elberry Cove’. Further information on these prestige holiday homes is available by e-mail and viewings can be arranged by appointment. Again details are on our App

Happy holidays everyone.
