Superb September Events in West Devon, Plymouth and Tavistock

Here’s our round-up of events and one-off things to see and do in West Devon, Plymouth and Tavistock for September.   Weather outlook when this was posted is for an unsettled start and drier towards the middle/end of the month see - https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/outlook.  Looks good for campers & tourers and the children are back to school so our park will be a little quieter with plenty of space.  Our picture is from September 2014.

To 22nd September – ‘Francis Drake comes home to NT Buckland Abbey’

To 31st October – Water & Colour in Cothele Gallery: NT Cothele

The summer exhibition features the work of local West Country artists and makers with beautiful watercolour paintings, mirrors, ceramics and jewellery on sale.  10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

To 14th September – Plymouth Arts Cinema Open Air

A variety of goods on offer including but not limited to leatherwork, fused glass, woodwork, pottery, soaps, textile products paintings and fine art.

Friday 13th September – Moorland Gardens Hotel, Yelverton

Tea Tasting & Cocktail making 6.00 p.m.  £20.00 per person

Saturday 14th September – Miss Ivy Events

Artisan Food & Gift Market, Butchers Hall, Tavistock
Sample locally-produced food, relax with a coffee and get crafty in the ‘Make Space’

Saturday 21st September – Tavistock Street Food Festival, Bedford Square, Tavistock
Enjoy an array of street foods from around the world, with bars and live music

Sunday 15th September -  Lamerton Tractor Day & Country Fair

Vintage cars, militaria, tractors, and working agricultural machinery shire horses, tractor trailer rides, dog show and children’s activities.  Tractor runs from 10.30 a.m. stalls and attractions from 11.00 a.m. plus BBQ, cream teas, ice cream and a bar.
