2022 Holidays at Harford Bridge Park

2022 reopening

We hope you like our new website, which we’ve been working on over winter.

On 15th March 2022, we’ll reopen our self-catering caravans, pods, Shepherd’s Hut, camping and touring. We’re looking forward to the season and the return of holiday guests to Harford Bridge Park!

Improved holiday accommodation

Over last winter, we’ve made further improvements to the park.  For 2022 all self-catering holiday caravans have been upgraded to ‘Prestige’ standard.  All now have a deck with a patio area, outdoor seating, and a weatherproof outside storage box for boots and other holiday clobber.

Inside, all have a Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, and a second TV in the master bedroom.  In addition, these caravans have central heating and double glazing for comfortable all-season holidays.  Bedding and towels are included, as well as a hospitality pack.

Park improvements

Last year, free Wi-Fi for all guests and our free mobile app were really popular with our holiday guests.  For 2022, we’ve upgraded the play park slide with a brand-new stainless steel double-width chute for extra fun!  We’ve also widened the road to the camping pitches to make access easier and safer for vehicles and pedestrians.  We also have new grounds-keeping gear to get the grass pitches to an even higher standard.

New bike racks are now available at the amenity building, which was new last year and provides tabletop games and a large screen Smart TV.  John Follett’s Riverside Diner will be back with a new menu from the end of April.  We’ve also added extra space for parking, EV charging facilities and some new store buildings to replace tired ones around the park reception.  In our tree and wildflower reserve, there’s a new dog proof fence between us and the neighbouring field and mown paths to follow.

As you can see, we’ve been busy!

Easter weekend (15-18 April) and the May Bank Holiday (30 April – 2 May) will be very popular dates to get away, so we advise you to book soon to secure your holiday with us and get the pick of our accommodation or camping pitches. We’ll be putting on some special events for the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday (2-5 June), so again, we advise early booking.

Out and about in West Devon and Plymouth

2022 sees the return of West Devon’s most popular events, of which there are too many to list here.  To get the best from your holiday, download our free Mobile App.  But here’s a flavour of what’s upcoming.

After the pandemic pause over the last two years, it’s going to be a full-on year as we bounce back to normal times. Upcoming is Plymouth Pirates Weekend (7-8 May), Commando Gunner’s 60th Anniversary Parade (14 May), Plymouth Lord Mayor’s Day (21 May), Plymouth Flavour Fest (27–29 May),’1 Big Summer’ music festival Plymouth Hoe (2-4 June), Armed Forces Day (25 June), Great Britain Sail Grand Prix (30 & 31 July, Plymouth British Firework Championships (17-18 August), Plymouth’s West End Carnival (27 August), and Plymouth Harbour Festival (17-18 September).

Closer to the park, Tavistock’s Carnival Week will be returning as well as the Ecofest and Goose Fair.  There will also be events over the Jubilee Bank Holiday.

To round up the news from us, we think you’ll enjoy your stays at Harford Bridge Park in 2022. The team from 2021 will reform from early March, ready to welcome every guest back.  Our wardens Drew, Keith, Lisa and Tracey will be back on site when we reopen.

In the meantime, we advise planning holidays in 2022 well ahead and making your booking with us as soon as you’re ready.
Until we reopen on 15th March, we’re here to take your phone calls from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.  You can book online anytime or e-mail your booking enquiry to [email protected], and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.  Happy 2022 holidays!
