When planning a Devon holiday, we recommend exploring our free Mobile App to keep updated with events, experiences and more about our park and enjoying holidays in our part of the West Country.

In 2022 there’ll be lots of new holiday experiences including Tavistock’s Guildhall Heritage Centre, trains again on The Dartmoor Line to Exeter, Plymouth’s The Box, as well as a return of annually occurring favorites like the County Shows – Cornwall 9-11 JuneDevon 30 June/ 1-2 July,-Tavistock’s Goose Fair and events at Westpoint Exeter. June has a long Bank Holiday (2-4) so early season holidays, after what is going to be a long winter, can be what you want to make them in our part of Devon. Nestled between The Tamar Valley AONB and Dartmoor National Park; we are perhaps in the most vibrant, tranquil yet un-spoilt part of Devon.

2020 / 2021 Round-up

Looking back to March 2020 it’s been a bit of a time! We’ve used the experience of lockdown and unlocking to make our park better than ever, with new ‘Prestige’ holiday caravans and our ‘Escape Pods’, free Wi-Fi for every guest, the same great camping and touring experience, with added amenities like our new games and TV room and Tree & Wildflower Reserve for dog walking and contemplation.

Our 2021 started with a Visit Devon Award for Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism, which was another accolade on our journey as a sustainable business that began in 1985.

At the end of 2019 we planted over 450 broadleaf trees in our Tree & Wildflower Reserve and a further planting of heritage apple and cherry trees followed at the end of 2020.

We have plans for the reserve to become a great amenity and conservation area as well as a productive orchard and, possibly, a space for pop-up events like weddings and displays, as well as park amenity space. The fruit trees are mostly old Tamar Valley varieties suited to our climate and soil, so have cropping promise eventually. They include ‘Black Dabinett’, ‘Fair Maid of Devon’ and the intriguing ‘Slack-Ma-Girdle’ cider apples.

As part of our sustainability work, we are converting to more LED lighting and better insulated buildings which included the new games and TV room in 2021, and our first solar PV panels installed on our barn. This winter after we close we’re diving into our winter projects. These include general maintenance and replacement of a couple of buildings near the Park Shop, adding more estate fencing, a new children’s slide, electric vehicle charging points and lots of tidying groundwork. There will also be tree work to remove unwanted coniferous trees and essential felling as sadly we’ve got Ash dieback on the park.

Unfortunately, we presently have only one used holiday home for sale: a 2006 Atlas ‘Solitaire Super’ but it is immediately available with the balance of 2021/22 pitch fees included. We can offer viewings and provide particulars, just e-mail us.

Harford’s 2022 Team

Our wonderful wardens Keith, Lisa, Nigel & Tracey will be returning in March 2022 along with Hermione in May. Louise has been our fabulous Receptionist since June and will be working over the winter taking bookings Monday to Thursday. Lydia, Nigel, & Paul will continue in their roles and add another season to their collective 70-years of experience at Harford Bridge Park.

The winter team will be taking a collective holiday from 25th December to 10th January 2022 but one of us will be clearing messages, returning calls and responding to e-mail during that time.

With best wishes for 2022 to all.
