Harford House is a 3-bedroom detached cottage set within an enclosure with parking for 2/3 cars. It is separated from Harford Bridge Holiday Park by fencing and has gated access to the park's facilities. Free WiFi and EV charge point.

The cottage is south facing with privacy from the holiday park provided by a fenced garden. The holiday park facilities are accessible to guests and include a hard tennis court, games room, shop and recreation green for ball games. An enclosed tree and wildflower reserve is opposite the holiday park entrance (50m) where dogs can be exercised off lead.

The floors are level and tiled into the dining room with a 1in (2.5cm) wooden threshold to the natural slate hallway floor. Doors are standard width. — Harford House Lounge
Lounge has a tiled floor with rugs, two single seat arm chairs and a 2/3 seater sofa with foot stool. A Smart TV is mounted above the log burner on the chimney breast.

The snug has good natural light from the patio doors and the window behind the recliner chair. There is a 6in (150 mm) step up to exit through the patio doors. The floor is otherwise level into the kitchen and lounge area. — Harford House Snug
Snug area is an extension to the lounge and has an electric reclining chair and lighting above with view into garden through patio doors.

Kitchen floors are tiled and level throughout to the dining room and to the lobby area. Doors are standard width. Room is lit by natural light from 3 windows or overhead and under unit lighting. — Harford House Kitchen
Kitchen is fully fitted Shaker style. Under counter fridge and freezer units are in the foreground then under counter drawers and storage. In the further distance an under counter oven and a dishwasher which is next to the sink and a small load washing machine. The hob is gas and there is an extractor above. Lighting is by ceiling mounted 8x LED spotlights and under unit lights. There are doors to the dining room (left) and to the lobby with WC (right) as well as to the Snug (not in picture)

Dining room has South facing window, storage units to left and right of a wood burning stove and a counter unit by the wall. Under stair storage is to the right of door to kitchen where a vacuum cleaner and clothes airer are stored. The extendable oak dining table has space for 6 diners. Access to the kitchen is directly from the dining room (in picture).

Doors are standard width and floors are carpeted in bedroom and vinyl in en-suite. Access to bedroom is from half landing climbing 3 steps each 7in (190mm). Room has good natural light and celling lights, plus wall lights switchable from the bed head. — Harford House Master Bedroom
Master bedroom has 5ft double bed, plus en-suite shower, wash hand basin and WC. Windows face South to the garden with views over the holiday park and to Dartmoor. There is a double wardrobe with hanging space and shelf above to right of bed, and a chest of drawers with Smart TV. Bedroom is fully carpeted. En-suite has South facing window and privacy blind.

Shower room does not have grab rails or features that are over/above what is standard for an unadapted domestic dwelling. There are touch points within reach of most people. Doorway is standard width and there is a 2in (5cm) threshold into the shower cubicle. — Harford House Master Bedroom En-suite
En-suite has standard fittings with a double sliding door to shower enclosure. There is a heated towel rail and South facing window with privacy blind. En-suite is ventilated through a ducted fan. Overhead lighting and light above sink with a 2-pin electric socket.

Twin beds are each 3ft wide and have views from a window - either North to a meadow across the lane or East to the garden and moorland beyond. There is a single wardrobe to the left side of the nearest single bed with hanging rail and shelf above. Under bed space is usable for temporary storage.

Entrance door is standard width. Step into shower cubicle is 7in (18cm). Access to bathroom is 24in (60cm) wide. If you’re looking for a characterful Dartmoor cottage holiday, you’ll love Harford House. It's full of period charm and delight with many original features, including the stone fireplaces, sloping ceilings, and wooden beams. Refreshed in 2020, it has all the modern facilities to make your holiday cottage stay a pleasurable one. Please be aware that due to a steep staircase, it is not suitable for children under the age of 3 to stay at the Cottage.

The cottage is set in a private landscaped garden with parking for two cars, a sun terrace, sweeping views of breathtaking Dartmoor and the whole of the National Park on your doorstep to explore. The cottage has had a make-over for 2024 and an EV Charging Point is now available to guests - charging at extra cost.

While staying at the cottage, you’re welcome to use our park’s facilities, including the children’s play area, indoor games room and tennis court.

Harford House facilities

The ground floor accommodation comprises a lounge with a TV and DVD player, log burning stove and snug area, which provides a relaxing place to sit and read. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with an integrated fridge and freezer, oven, hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine.

The dining room has a large country-style table that comfortably seats six and a log burning stove for the colder evenings. There’s also a ground floor cloakroom with a toilet and washbasin.

On the first floor, there are two double bedrooms with TVs. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a shower, toilet and washbasin. The third bedroom has twin beds, but the quirky sloping ceiling means headroom is limited. Also on this floor is a family bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.
