Favourite Beaches
One of our favourite Beach is Summerleze at Bude. Great for a family day out, bodyboarding and surfing if the waves are right. Has a seawater bathing pool which is usually quite warm if it is sunny.
If parking is difficult behind Summerleze then Crooklets over the hill has another car park. Cafes, beach huts, and toilets.
The ‘Beach Guide website pinpoints all the beaches in UK and has weather, tide times and lots of information including photos and information on whether the beach is dog friendly.

Wembury is amongst our favourites and is of the best for rockpooling in the Country . Best to get there around low tide so check Tide Times and Weather on the site. Post Code: PL9 0HR
Challaborough has cafe beach shop and small car park. Post Code TQ7 4HZ
Plymouth Hoe West Beach Shingle with sea bathing pool. It is not far from the lido, and further west along the Hoe there are restaurants, ice cream parlours and children’s play facilities. Post Code: PL1 3DE
Saunton Sands a bit of a drive from Harford Bridge Park but worth it if the tides and weather are right for a day out. Over 3 miles of beach and dunes and great for longboarding. Post Code: EX33 1LQ.
