Dartmoor holiday cottage

Harford House is a detached 19th century Devon cottage on the periphery of our Dartmoor holiday park.

Harford House sleeps up to six people and has everything you need for a perfect self-catering family holiday.

If you’re looking for a characterful Dartmoor cottage holiday, you’ll love Harford House. It's full of period charm and delight with many original features, including the stone fireplaces, sloping ceilings, and wooden beams. Refreshed in 2020, it has all the modern facilities to make your holiday cottage stay a pleasurable one. Please be aware that due to a steep staircase, it is not suitable for children under the age of 3 to stay at the Cottage.

The cottage is set in a private landscaped garden with parking for two cars, a sun terrace, sweeping views of breathtaking Dartmoor and the whole of the National Park on your doorstep to explore.

While staying at the cottage, you’re welcome to use our park’s facilities, including the children’s play area, indoor games room and tennis court.

Harford House facilities

The ground floor accommodation comprises a lounge with a TV and DVD player, log burning stove and snug area, which provides a relaxing place to sit and read. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with an integrated fridge and freezer, oven, hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine.

The dining room has a large country-style table that comfortably seats six and a log burning stove for the colder evenings. There’s also a ground floor cloakroom with a toilet and washbasin.

On the first floor, there are two double bedrooms with TVs. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a shower, toilet and washbasin. The third bedroom has twin beds, but the quirky sloping ceiling means headroom is limited. Also on this floor is a family bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.
